Tiko and His Green Thumb

This is Tiko! A little original character I came up with.

Tiko; a ten year old Filipino boy from the big city. His family own a flower and agriculture shop aptly named "Gift of the Green". The store was flourishing with customers bustling and was the blooming heart of the local community, all from the loving work of his mother which emanated into the plants she loved to grow with Tiko as her seedling assistant!

Sadly however, after Tiko's mother passed away a piece of the family broke and had an echoing effect upon the store and also the local community. Plant life has struggled to grow in the same way since and his Father can't quite get the plants that do grow to capture the essence and enrapturing vivid colours of Tiko's mother's plants.

This all changes, however when out taking photographs at the outskirts of town by the lake, Tiko's thumb glows green and tangling vines erupt from the lake's waters! Tiko of course is in great panic and shock and in time discovers the ancestral power from his mother's family side; "the gift of the green thumb"; granting those in that lineage who inherit the talent to grow luscious plant life and even bring plants to life!

With the guidance of his grandmother, I imagine Tiko would have many adventures with his goal to revive his family business and bring joy back to his local community; all in the name of love for his late mama.
